WAYN: Joe Cole

Joseph John Cole born November 8, 1980 in Islington, London, England joined Chelsea from West Ham on August 6, 2003 for 6.6 million pounds.  He is a right footed midfielder than can play anywhere in the midfield including out on the left very well.  Also one of the players to leave West Ham after they were relegated the previous May.  Joe's Chelsea career got off to a shaky start under Ranieri and under Mourinho as well,Mourinho famously publicly criticising him.  I have to admit there were a few times I thought he would see the exit door but he has managed to over come all and become a great player.  This was proven last year as he was voted the fans player of the year for 2008.  The only downside for Joe is that he has been plagued with quite a few injuries over the last few seasons.  His current Chelsea stats are 230 appearances and 38 goals.
